Taylor Swift's Miss Americana has hit Netflix and Twitter is not so low-key losing it over a scene where the pop titan is seen with a massive diamond ring. Now, Swift does talk about her relationship with Joe Alwyn and loves to drop Easter eggs, but we can't exactly pinpoint the truth.
In a scene from the movie, which is also available for screening in select theaters across the country, the chart-topper is seen explaining why she'd like to break her silence on politics to voice her support for Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen. "I need to do this. I need you, dad, to forgive me for doing it, because I'm doing it," she tearily tells her father, Scott. In that instance, a sparkler can be seen on her ring finger.
When the film's director, Lana Wilson, was asked about the moment during Sundance Film Festival, she pleaded the fifth, telling InStyle, "Whoa. I’m going to have to revisit that scene." Over on the Twitterverse, Swifties are seemingly doing the same.
