Sam Hunt Predicts Super Bowl LIV Will Be 'One For The Books'

Super Bowl LIV is just a few days away and country star, Sam Hunt, is starting to get excited for the big game.

The "Kinfolks" singer himself actually played football in college at both Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Alabama, later earning a tryout for the Kansas City Chiefs. He ultimately decided to leave the sport entirely to focus on music, however his passion for the game is still evident.

Hunt recently sat down to talk with his record label about the upcoming game between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, which he says is going to be "exciting" for a few reasons.

"It’s like the new generation Super Bowl almost," Hunt said. "The quarterbacks are great. I really like that [Patrick] Mahomes guy. I mean he represents a whole new era of quarterback. The game has changed a lot over the years, and it is, it’s exciting to see two teams."

"I like watching great offenses," he continued. "I like quarterbacks who throw the ball around, score lots of points, and these two teams do that. They’ve got a lot of exciting players. So, I think this one's gonna be one for the books, for sure."

Hunt also recognizes and appreciates how the Super Bowl has become such a massive event for just about anyone, football fan or not.

"It's become such a massive pop culture event, and I love that they've incorporated music and entertainment with the sport itself and the entertainment value that comes from that," Hunt said. "It encompasses just a strong representation of American culture, and I'm a huge music fan, obviously, and I'm a huge sports fan, so those are two of my favorite worlds combined there."

Hunt isn't the only country star getting excited for Super Bowl Sunday. "Good As You" singer, Kane Brown, recently revealed his Super Bowl LIV prediction.

"For this year's Super Bowl, I'm going with the Chiefs," Brown said. "Pat Mahomes, that's my guy."

There's no doubt both Hunt and Brown will be glued to the television when Sunday comes around for the game. Super Bowl LIV will take place on February 2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The big game will air on FOX at 5:30 pm ET.
