Carrie Underwood Prioritizes Time With Husband Mike Fisher Every Evening

Carrie Underwood stays busy with her successful music career and as a mother of two boys, 4-year old Isaiah and 1-year-old Jacob. Even though her days can get a bit crazy from time-to-time, the country star always manages to carve out some quiet time to spend with her husband Mike Fisher every evening.

In a recent interview, Underwood shared what her evening routine looks like, revealing that she always prioritizes time alone with Fisher. She says her sons have a strict 8 p.m. bedtime giving her quality time with her husband.

"I put the kids down and we sit and watch Investigation Discovery or something and drink wine," she said, adding, "It's all my life. It all flows and goes together."

With a schedule like Underwood's time to relax doesn't just come, it has to be created, planned and prioritized. The same goes for working out, which the country star says she does every morning.

"I do need to work out and my husband does know that I need that in my life," she said. “Even if it’s just a short workout in the morning, he’s like, ‘Oh I know you’re happier when you work out,’ and I’m like, ‘I know!’"

"I’m the kind of personality that likes to feel like I’ve gotten something accomplished and when I work out, it’s like I’ve accomplished something today," she adds. "So the rest of my day, I’m just in a better mood."

When she's not taking the time for herself to workout or relax with Fisher, Underwood is likely working or with her kids. "You have to juggle and balance and work around school programs," she explains. "I’m like making lunch for my kid and then I’ve gotta do a photoshoot."

She adds, "It’s like many working moms, only my job’s a little more random."
